Dundee defender Luke Graham has admitted that constant speculation over his future has been tiring.

Rangers are looking to bolster their squad going into next season, and one player they have continued interest in is Graham. It has been a major point of discussion throughout the season, but the Dundee man has said he is ‘fed up’ of constantly being asked where he will be playing his football next campaign.

He said via The Courier:

It’s been non-stop really since January. Questions every week about where I’m going to be playing next season.

You can sometimes get a bit fed up with it but it’s obviously going to happen when there is a little bit of talk going on. It’s just been a good season overall. That’s all I’ve been focusing on the whole time. Just try to get Dundee to finish as high as possible.

I’ve really not got any idea [what will happen with transfers]. The first thing on my mind is just try and enjoy my summer. Just get the football out of my head for as long as possible really.

I want to wind down from everything and then we’ll need to wait and see what happens really. I’ve loved every minute of it, and if not, I’ll be ready to go again next season for Dundee.

Although Rangers are the favourite domestic option to secure his signature, they aren’t the only club interested. They would need to act quickly, as foreign outfits such as Schalke in the 2. Bundesliga are also keen on signing him up. Valencia are also said to be keeping an eye on him.

Closer to home, Derby County, Norwich City and Portsmouth ‘admire’ the young player and would love to see him make the move south of the border.

If Dundee were to sell, they would likely be looking for a fee of around Β£1.2 million, but would maybe push that up to Β£2 million to sell domestically. That is affordable for the Gers, and with the defender recently getting a call-up to the Scotland World Cup Pre-Camp Training Squad, they could have a future international on their hands.

Graham has looked incredible this season, and Rangers fans are calling for more Scottish talent to be included in the squad. Some fans on social media believe that Ibrox needs squad members who ‘know what it means’ to play for one of Scotland’s biggest clubs, and that can be an easier mindset to find in someone who grew up in the country.

Either way, there will be a lot of work to do in the upcoming summer transfer window for the Gers. Manager Danny Rohl seems to be remaining in the job, and he has already confirmed that star player Youssef Chermiti is likely to remain at the club.
